MIB Importer locks up on large MIB files

When importing a large MIB (particularly, POWERNET401.MIB, which you can find through Google) MIB importer locks up, going to "Not responding". Suspect this is related to the number of items in the MIB, but is there a possibility this can be fixed, so we can make oidlib files from larger MIBS?

Hello,

can you please forward us the MIB in question to [email protected] along with a note to this KB-thread?

Best Regards.

Any news on this? I am having a hard time importing the same MIB. MIB Importer will finish importing it, but it will show blank. I was able to save it to a oidlib file, but cannot edit it.

Dear Persio,

it is true that the MIB Importer slows down considerably after opening a huge OIDLib. But it should return with a full tree on display. This can take several minutes, however (I tested this with a powernet 398 MIB).

I suggest you select only the counters that interest you, then save them as a partial OIDLib. (File/Enable Partial Selection).

Kind regards,

- Volker
