Importing MIBs into Paessler

Votes:

0

Hello,

I used Mib Importer and compiled 3 MIBs (Cisco-process-mib and couple of dependencies) When I try to add it, it says "preparing the configuration of sensor" and nothing happens, the progress bar reaches only the half of the way and stops there circling, I have waited 2 hours and nothing happened. I recentrly have bought PRTG and using the latest version.

Thank you very much!

Hi,
does the imported oidlib contain many counters (200 +)? If so, please try importing the same again but use partial selection this time in the importer to create an oidlib which stays below 200 OIDs. the partial selection can be activated in the MIB Importer under File |Enable Partial Selection.
Are you able to create the sensor using the smaller oidlib?
Best regards

Konstantin, thank you very much. I had less than 200 variables (around 130) and still had the issue. Nevertheless I decided to import only 3 variables, the only ones I would be using, leaving the unnecessary ones outside, so I dont compile garbage and it worked ok!!

Thanks again!
