Service Now Integration

Hi all, I wondered if anyone has attempted to integrate PRTG with ServiceNow? We may well have to do that in the near future...

Any ideas would be gratefully received!

Hi Jay,

I'm afraid that we do not have any guides or experience with ServiceNow at this point. Maybe the community can share their experiences here.

I'm attempting that right now. It seems that we either have Execute HTTP Action or Execute Program. It would be nice if PRTG had the ability to send a soap message in Execute HTTP but they don.t

I'm now looking at doing it either via powershell or command line curl.

the above reply is 6 years old now. Is there any new feature in PRTG that allow Service Now Integration. when we tried to use the above SerivceNow article, we don't have control over number of alerts/messages pulled by ServiceNow, and it keep on overload the ServiceNow Mid server.

The integration is documented in the ServiceNow Manual.

The restriction of how many messages are getting polled needs to be defined in their API. So I recommend to reach out to the manufacturer to request if the API is capable of this.

For any PRTG related questions, we'll be happy to provide input. Please bear with us that there are no concurrent plans for a native implementation (this would also rely on the API anyways).
