Folder Sensor slower after Upgrade to 17.4.35.3441

Hi I installed this version on the 8th of December 2017. At about 10AM I took the system down, made backups brought back online and applied the update. I did not notice until today that one of our sensors (a foldersensor) was showing unusual execution times. After digging further I can see via the historic log that prior to the upgrade the average execution time across 60 minutes was 0 msec. But immediately after the upgrade it changed to an average of 57 msec over a 60 minute interval.

Any ideas? has the sensor been altered? I am just concerned as it may be highlighting something else

thanks

Hi there,

We changed something at the sensor:
We have improved the stability of the Folder sensor when monitoring folders that contain a large number of files and added a proper timeout handling for folder scans. For debugging purposes, the sensor now also provides the option to write the sensor result to disk.

Please note that we do not recommend to check huge folders with a lot of files as the maximum allowed execution time of this sensor is limited to 15 minutes. Does the sensor currently work or do you still have issues?

Best regards.
