Importer says to split, splitter says nothing have to be done.

I am using the MIB Importer v3.5.8 and try to imporrt a mib file (I would have liked to be able to join it to this post, but there is no options to do it). It tells me there is multiple definitions and I need to split it.

I use the MIB splitter installed at the same time as the importer and ask it to split the file, it answer "Only one module definition in MIB file. No splitting necessary.".

I tried the import and split twice, thinking I chose the wrong file in one of the two.

importer mib-splitter snmp

Hello there,
we appreciate your contact.

Would you mind sharing the MIB file that you're using? You won't be able to upload it here, so simply share the link so that we may get the file from the link for investigation.

Best Regards,

Hello,
we've received the link you've shared via E-mail. But please use the KB-Post for further communication.

The link you've shared contained several files:

  • no-diffserv.mib
  • no-draft-ietf-entmib-sensor-mib.mib
  • no-draft-ietf-syslog-device-mib.mib
  • no-env_mib.mib
  • no-mnginf.mib
  • no-policy.mib
  • no-QosCliMib.mib

I've tried no-policy.mib and got a different error:

Missing Import Module: RADLAN-MIB

May I ask which of the files you're trying to import?

Best Regards,
Luciano Lingnau [Paessler Support]
