Will deprecated SQL sensors persist if upgrading from 16.x to 18.x?

Hello,

I am aware of the KB article (https://kb.paessler.com/en/topic/69160-i-use-a-large-number-of-sql-sensors-can-i-continue-using-the-deprecated-sql-sensors-somehow) which states: "...you will be able to continue using your original SQL sensors beyond version 16.x.25."

That KB article was authored in April 2016 -- I would like to make sure that the information in the article is still accurate. Will the sensors be carried over if a 16.x installation is upgraded to 18.x?

They will be carried over and continue to work, but it's recommended to recreate them using the new sensor engine (which is already used under the hood, but the settings are just bandaid-ed upon it).
