Cannot add SNMP Linux Physical Disk Sensor

Votes:

0

I have two SuperMicro Servers running Debian. I have monitoring configured and working for SNMP Traffic, SNMP Linux Load Average, SNMP Linux Meminfo, and SNMP Linux Disk Free on both Servers. When I try to add the Physical Disk Sensor, I can't get past Add Sensor Step 1 on either server. The list of disks never comes up, I just get a spinning icon on the screen. It never times out, it is just stuck on the spinning icon until I exit that page.

How can I get these sensors configured on the two servers?

Hello MCQ,

if a sensor that uses SNMP is stuck at step 1, it usually stuck at the attempt to retrieve the data it needs for step 2.

In such cases you can use our SNMP Tester to verify if the SNMP server is returning data.
You will want to check the custom OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.9 for the Physical Disks from the Probe host.

If the SNMP tester is also not getting any data, then you will have to configure your snmpd accordingly to allow retrieval of the data needed.
