Custom SNMP OID Floating Limit

Votes:

We are trying to monitor the active number of PPP connections on a router, We want to put warning and error limits on the number of active connections but we would like this to be a floating number i.e 1% drop causes warning 2% drop causes error. I've tried sensor factory but I can't seem to get the channels maximum value ever.

Is there a way to do percentage based limits on custom SNMP OID's? We have alot of routers to monitor with number of connections always going up so static number limits are out of the question

Cheers

Hello,

I'm afraid it might only be possible to solve this with a script running as a Custom Exe Sensor, where these checks are made in the script itself.

best regards.
