Can you decode a number response to a word?

I have some switches that when questioned respond with a numeric value. In an SNMP viewer there are definitions of what these numbers mean.

ie. Fan & PS status. on(1), off(2), faulty(3).

In the SNMP viewer it says it is an INTEGER

I would like the definition to be displayed in the box and not the number if possible. I am trying to get our guys to use PRTG instead of CastleRock and the ability to do this is a major hurdle.

I hope it is my inexperience and thank s to those who have a look and offer suggestions.

integer text value

Hello,

I'm afraid this is not possible with PRTG default sensors. You could probably do this with a self-written Custom Sensor.

Best Regards.

Can anyone help point me in the direction of a beginners guide to custom sensors or at least where to start reading to understand better?

Thanks
