How can I add a graph to a map with a different time frame?

Votes:

The graphs available provide a view of 20 mins, 2 days, 30 days, and 365 days; how can I include a graph with say, 1 hour of data?

I'm really trying to migrate to Network Monitor from Traffic Grapher, but my stumbling block is the missing abilities in the maps feature vs the Custom Graphs, selecting colors on a graph by graph basis, namely the background for instance. I'm trying to replicate: http://tinyurl.com/27zrla8

For Maps objects, there are only the time frames available that are configured in PRTG Server Administrator (Memory Usage tab). You can manage them centrally there.

Data for the intervals you set here are always kept in RAM memory to quickly provide tables and graphs without causing extra CPU load or disk usage. Therefore, the intervals are the same for all objects within one PRTG installation, including the Maps objects.

Thank you, with this information I was able to double the number of intervals to show 40 minutes instead of the 20 (10 second scanning interval for live bandwidth monitoring).

Now I just have to hope further graph customizations are in the pipeline...

Thank you for a great product.

I know this topic is years old, but I want to change my graphs to a 1 day view and the Memory usage tab is no longer in the administrator tool. Is there another way to do this now?

Hi there,

Please head to "Setup >System Administration" within your web client and find the section "Graph Settings". Here you can change the settings of the graphs.

Please note that changing this setting will result in a restart of the PRTG core server service. After that the data cache is recalculated. During recalculation the graphs may show incomplete data.

Kind regards,
