SNMP traps sensor can not be added. What can I do?

Dear Support. I have downloaded and installed the freeware PRTG for evaluation before we buy it. I was able to do the implementation but I stuck with one problem in SNMP monitoring.

After I define a device, I tried to add Sensor to monitor (SNMP Trap Receiver), I get message (This sensor type is only available for Probe Device). How can I activate SNMP Traps Receivers for other devices on the network? Thanks

Hello,

right now the SNMP Trap Sensors have to be added to a probe device (which represents the PC/Server on which PRTG is installed), as the traps have to be sent to this computer. Of course you can send the traps then from which ever device you want.

Best Regards.
