Lost connection to PRTG server.

Logged in as user, on Alert screen, web page expire set to 1 day, we get errors : "URL:/api/public/testlogin.htn failed twice (Timeout PE1014)" Where is this coming from? If you click on the error, it goes away, and you are still logged into web session and connection is still active. ver 8.1.2.1810

PE1014 is usually caused by connections problems between browser and server. These can be caused by packet loss, dropped connections, etc.

Please also review the "PRTG Core Server Log", maybe some internals errors occured?

We have seen cases where the problem went away when the SSL option of the webserver was disabled.

I am getting the same error on my prtg network monitor. I checked the core server service and status shows running. can someone please assist me here. Our technical team are not able to view and monitor critical systems and it's been almost a two days now.

Hi Eroen,

Do you receive the error message in the Enterprise Console and are you able to reconnect to the PRTG installation if you acknowledge the message? Which version of PRTG are you using?
