How to configure LDAP sensor for Active Directory

Votes:

0

I have added the LDAP sensor to my Windows Server 2008 machine. However, it says the authentication fails. I am using the following:

Port: 389
Distinguished Name: cn=Administrator,dc=something,dc=com
Password: ********

Am I missing something here?

This error message actually indicates that PRTG could connect to the LDAP server, but the "bind" failed, using the provided credentials. Please re-check that the values provided for Distinguished Name and Password are accepted on your LDAP server's side.

I forgot to add cn=Users in the DN. After adding that it worked. Thanks.
