How to always display "Message" output from an EXE sensor even when in warning or down status?

Votes:

0

My EXE sensor returns a <value>:<message> standard string as PRTG requires: "0:OK" "1:<diskname> <error_status>" "2:error in snmpget" I don't care tha value, but I'm worry that <message> string will always be shown in field "Last Message", above all in second case. To put sensor in warning or down, I use "Enable Limints" in Channel tags, based on <value> field.

Sensor works fine when green, showing "OK".. Unfortunately when the sensor goes warning or down, the "Last Message" change! I need to know the content ho <diskname> <error_status>

Any suggestions?

Thanks very much!

Hello,

I'm afraid Error- or Warning-Limits overwrite the message of a sensor. This cannot be changed. You can of course use threshold-triggers, they will keep the message but not means error- or warning-states of the sensor.

Best Regards.
