How can I create a bandwidth sensor without unnecessary channels?

The bandwidth sensors are created with: Traffic In, Traffic Out, Traffic Total and Downtime. I want to create sensors with just Traffic In and nothing else. Even assuming Traffic Total is a derived value, it's VERY wasteful to collect Traffic Out and Downtime data if you don't require it (even if you can hide the data).

The old version of PRTG allowed you to elminate unused channels.

Sorry, you can only hide unused channels, but not delete them. New channels are always added automatically as soon as data is received for this channel. PRTG stores all monitoring data in its own database format which is optimized for such data. So you should not run into performance issues by recording data you do not necessarily need. The downtime is a derived value as well.

If you're concerned about disk space, please have a look at the settings for Data Purging Limits in PRTG's web interface.
