Map with traffic links?

Votes:

1

I'm curently reviewing PRTG Network Monitor and one of the features I'm trying to customise is the maps.

I can see how you can link two objects but I cannot see a way of configuring that link to represent the traffic between the two objects - such as cross switch/router traffic.

We currently use another monitoring product with a Weathermap plugin which allows us to see an overall map of our network traffic - heavy usage increasing a colour scale of that link's line.

Is it possible to do this with the maps in PRTG?

Hello,

you could simply bring in the SNMP Traffic Sensor which monitors this link as a graph, or maybe a status icon with the last result, and then connect this sensor with the objects (Device Icon maybe) representing the switch and router.

Best Regards.
