What would be the best way to create a simple map or dashboard with up/down status? Example, web servers up or down just based on ping.

Hello,

you could setup a map and simply use the "Errors-" or "Alarms"-Datatables which list all sensor in error-state. With the tag-filter-setting in the Map's settings-tab you could set the tables also to contain only ping sensors.

Best Regards.

OK that is good for showing a down state but how could I show up. Example.

You can of course add these as status-icons as well to the map.
