Has messenger been removed from notifications?

Was the option to use MSN messenger for notification removed?

I stopped gettings IMs during the day a while back, but only noticed it recently, so I dont know what the timeframe is on this. When I went to see why it wasnt sending out messages, I found that the option to use messenger had been completely removed.

Whats the deal?

As of version 8.3.0 (Feb 16th 2011) native support for all instant messengers has been removed.

Please take a look at How can PRTG send instant messages to Jabber, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, etc., using external software?
