edit multiple object dependencies

On a 48 port Cisco Switch, we monitor all ports. We setup dependencies on each port to pause if the PING on that switch goes offline so we have 1 alert instead of 48 alerts. Is their a way to select all ports and choose the PING object instead of going into each port object one by one. I tried selecting all and clicking the wrench but you don't get that option.

Hello,

dependency-settings are disabled in the Multi-Edit to avoid the creation of 'dependency loops' with never awaking devices/groups. However, the solution in your case is of course simply to define the Ping Sensor to be the Master object for parent. This would pause all sensors on the device if the ping sensor fails (except the ping sensor itself of course).

Best Regards.
