Sorry but I am new to PRTG. I have a ping sensor that I have in place but every night the device is shut off. I want to keep the ping sensor but disable notifications for this single device. Is this possible?

Dear Michael,

this is of course possible.

You could either simply don't use a state trigger on this PING sensor. Or, if you configured the state trigger on group/device-level, you can go to the PING sensor's Notification tab (in the sensor's settings) and disable the inherited triggers there (by disabling the option Inherit trigger(s) from parent object(s)).

For more information about notifications, please see the according manual section

Best Regards.

Thanks for the reply. I am not seeing a "notifications tab" in the sensor settings. Should each ping sensor have a notifications tab?

It is not in the sensor settings.

simply click on the sensor and should take you to the overview of the sensor and there should be the tabs for 2day, 30day and 365day and the Notifications tab as well.
