Votes:

0

Hello, Well the thing is that I have PRTG Network Monitor sensing some devices and computers on my network, now I would like my PRTG to recieve SNMP Traps from these devices and send as a log of events or a syslog to my e-mail. So my question is: Is that possible?, and if that is possible how should I configure the PRTG Network Monitor and what do I need to configure on the devices..

I will appreciate your answers and help

Regards. Andrew

I Apologize, cause I'm new in PRTG, however the reason why I wrote is because there is no enough information, I reviewd very well the links you post ando aso manny other posts, but i cannot find the answer for my question.

If is not possible to do that with my PRTG Network Monitor, I will have to use another alternative.

So if you can help me!! I will be really thankfull with you.

PRTG can receive Traps, but we can't tell you how to configure your devices how to send traps. If then PRTG receives a trap, you can "forward" it as a Syslog message, by using a Change Trigger on the Trap Sensor, and using the %message placeholder to also forward the content of the trap.

Note: This only applies to PRTG versions prio 14.1.x!

You see that PRTG receives the trap if your Trap Sensor in PRTG shows that.
