Apply alert threshold to entire group

Have PRTG setup to monitor our servers.

We would like to, without going to every server individually, set the thresholds to apply across the whole group.

For example we would like the "Free Disk Space" test to go negative if any server reaches below 5% of available disk space on any of its drives. We would like to do this without having to configure it on every server individually.

Is there a way to do this?

Hello,

I'm afraid in the moment it's necessary to do that for each sensor individually on its Channel-tab. However for some sensors (for example the WMI Disk Space Sensor (Multi Drive)) it's possible to change the Error/Warning-Limits using the Multi-Edit, because on these sensors the limits are also on the Settings-tab (for all drives monitored by the Disk Space sensor for example).

best regards.

So just to clarfiy,

When we have a drive that has the following message (with no configuration on our behalf other than to add the test):

3 % (Free Space E:) is below the error limit of 10 %

There is nowhere to change the error limit from 10%? This 10% value seems to be applied to all Free Space tests by default. Where is that threshold information stored? Is it hard coded and non-changeable?

Dear Steven, I'm afraid I was not clear then. Some sensors have default limits, for example the one you mentioned has (obviously) 10% as Lower Error Limit. This is in fact placed on the Settings-tab in this case, and can be changed with the Multi-Edit.
