I get reports via E-Mail, yet cannt seem to read the pdF with my iPhone.

For some reason the PDF genereated by the report cannot be read on my iPhone, nor anyone elses around here either. We were however able to do this with the previous verison of the Paessler software.

What am I doing wrong? Do I ned a different reader on my iPhone? (I have a couple of PDF readers and they all seem to fail at reading the report files) Thanks!

Dear Larry,

we are unable to reproduce this with several iPhones here (all iPhone 4, with iOS 4.3.5). Which are you using?

best regards.

Mine is an iPhone 3gs. However, I found out through additional searches that the problem is not related to PRTG specifically.

As it turns out, there appears to be some issue when an E-Mail message is sent as HTML and has an attachement that is a PDF... iPhones do not display the PDF. This does not occur when the message is sent as a "TEXT" with the very same PDF attachment.

So, I changed the type of message that PRTG sends out to my phone to the TEXT type vs HTML and I can now read the PDF reports.

Strange, but true...
