WMI CPU Load returns incorrect count of CPU

Votes:

0

Using the WMI CPU Load sensor on a Windows 2008 R2 X64 Enterprise server returns only 32 CPUs (should be returning 64). I also get the same results with the PRTG WMI Tester.

However, when I use wbemtest and query for select * from Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfOS_Processor, the correct number of CPUs are returned.

The server is a 4 socket Xeon X7560 at 2.27Ghz. 64 CPUs are shown in Task Manager as well.

Dear Ken,

is the PRTG Probe monitoring this particular host running on a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows? And where did you execute the wbemtest? On the particular 64-core machine?

best regards.
