I`m a beginner with PRTG and i`m trying to count the pages of a printer. I know that i have to work with SNMP and OID.

I have treid the program Getif. But i cannot find anything where i can count the pages. Also i cannot find the MIB file of the printer. Is there a site where i can download it?

Hello,

MIBs are usually offered by the vendor of a device, or on pages like www.mibdepot.com

Are you sure your Canon Printer does support SNMP? You can use our SNMP Tester to check this, it should at least be able to scan the "SNMP Uptime".

best regards.

Then you would have to check with the vendor.

Schwarz/blackA41.3.6.1.4.1.1602.1.11.1.3.1.4.113

The last three digit you can find on the Printer Status Website.

Thank you Sebastian, i search a lot of time for this OIDs. Canon only has some horrible .xls files for the snmp MIBs. We metering our printer and report the page counters for our service provider for billing. I hope other customers can use this information. Best greeting from nueremberg Roman
