Channel Limits Override

When a channel limit is configured in the WMI Multi Disk sensor, is that channel limit supposed to override the default limits configured for the sensor on the Settigns tab? I've configured a channel limit for one particular disk to be 10% and 5% for Warning and Error limits respectivley, but the Warning state of the sensor is not being cleared.

Hello,

please do not "use" the limits in the Settings-tab and the Channels-tab at the same time with different numbers. PRTG will then "activate" the limit which comes first. So in your case, please disable the limits on the Settings-tab.

best regards.

I've just come across this question again. And while the Torsten did accurately answer the question, I would like to ask another. Why can't we have sensor, or parent, limits set and then have channel, or child, limits set where the channel limits override the sensor limits? Has anyone submitted a feature request for this yet?

tdye, thank you for the KB-Post. You are right, this is a valid feature request. I will put it on the wish list again.
