New "Dependency Delay" Feature

Votes:

0

The release notes for v.9 mention this:

Added a "Dependency Delay" feature

I assume this might mean I could set a delay when a ping sensor comes back online before the other dependent sensors are unpaused.

Can someone explain more about this feature? Does it need to be configured or enabled somewhere?

Thanks!

Dear Eric,

the "Dependency Delay"-Feature means that all other sensors on a device are still paused for another 60s (default value, can be changed) if the master object, which usually is the Ping Sensor, just came UP again. The Delay value can be set in the dependency settings of the Device (not on the sensors or the master sensor).

best regards.
