Improve Automatic Update Function in PRTG9?

Hello, First I would like to say I really love the new automatic Function.

But is there an way to Improve it a bit?

  • Make an Button "restart now" so the Server does not restart automatically after applying the Patch
  • Same for every Update on every Clusternodes so they dont restart automatically
  • If an Restart of the Remote Probe is also neccessary for the Patch make an PopUp or also an Button to apply the restart

Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry to say, that we can't follow your request for technical reasons.

During the installation of the update the PRTG services (including PRTG's webserver) are not running, so there is no interface that could show a button.

Only during installation we can find out, if a reboot is necessary. And if it is necessary, it has to be done before PRTG services can be restarted.

As you can see, there is no way of giving the user the option to control the reboot moment - except for starting the update installation at a desired time.
