The new v9 version of paessler has some issues wit autodiscovery and sets every device (at least in my environment) to a xerox machine and tags it as such.

Does anybody know of a way to clear all tags from the paessler DB?

Hallo,

we have fixed the issue and already put another build online. Fastest is to delete the group you auto discovered and do it again. Or you edit the configuration file in an XML editor.

I actually did the last thing. If anybody is wondering:

Go to :

C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor (on a win2k8 r2 machine, this would be the default path).

Grab notepad++ or similar, stop PRTG (I stopped probe and server services). Open the PRTG configuration.dat file and did a find / replace on all xerox related tags.

Save the file and start ptrg again :)
