Active Directory Users being marked Inactive

Votes:

We are experiencing and issue whereby AD users are at random being marked as inactive.

Once we resume the user they can login fine. We have no issue with their ad accounts for any other service that uses AD authentication.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues? If so do you have any advice?

What is the reason they are beeing locked out. Is it due to a problem with PRTG or is there another service maybe interfering with the AD accounts?

We are having the same issue. I noticed this morning three AD integrated PRTG accounts were marked as INACTIVE. Two of the users I knew well and had not logged into the PRTG site for over a week but their Active Directory account was normal with no issues in Active Directory. To get the users working again we had to mark the accounts as active. We have users that do not allways login daily and they only login when they recieve an email alert from PRTG. Is there a setting to turn Active account checking OFF?

We are investigating this issue, a new release in January 2012 will include a debug logging for this and also users won't be set inactive anymore, if no matching groups (AD <-> PRTG) are found, only the login will be denied of course.
