The RPC server is unavailable



I have PRTG Network monitor V7.1.4.3445, somebody could tell me if this version can sense a windows 2008 server? I recieve the follow message:(800706BA: The RPC server is unavailable - Host:, User: , Password: , Domain: , Namespace: root\cimv2) thanks in advance.

Dear Carlos,

PRTG officially supports WMI for Windows XP or later (see PRTG Manual: Monitoring via WMI). The error-message here hints more on a WMI Connection-Problem than an issue with WMI Classes or Operators. Therefore, can you please use our WMI Tester and scan against this particular target with any query from its "Advanced" tab? Do you get any results? Please run the tester on the same host where PRTG is installed.
