Can a sensor have multiple parents?

Votes:

0

Is it possible to set two or more parents to an object?

For instance: Servers have more network cards and they are connected to 2 switches (redundancy). I want to stop monitoring my servers, so I don't get false notifications only if both of switches (parents) are down.

Thank you for your answer.

No, here can only be one parent device for one sensor. But you can use "dependencies" to connect objects!

Thank you for your quick responce.

Dependencies are very usefull, but I don't see, how I could simulate multiple parents. It's not that big of a problem though...
