How to use two threshold triggers?

Votes:

0

Hello,

I run PRTG 12.2.1.1924. I want to monitor a file on a Windows Server. I want to be alerted when the file size is smaller than 1Ko and if the file age is bigger than 24 hours. I have used the "filesensor". I can specifie threshold triggers for the size and for the age but I want to be alerted if the two triggers are reached, not only one.

Is it possible?

Thank you

Liece

This can be done using a simple trick: Add two file sensors, one monitoring the file size of your file, the other monitoring the age. In the Channels tab of both sensors, set Limits, so the sensor status shows a Warning or Down status when thresholds are breached.

Then add a third sensor, of the type Sensor Factory. In the status definition field, write a Boolean expression to switch the Status of this sensor depending on the status of your two file sensors. For details, please see
