why do sensors come up with No Such Name (SNMP error # 2)

Often sensors come up with an alarm stating No Such Name. We have forced snmp mib ifmib persist on all our Cisco switches. The switches are not rebooted nor have any ifindexes changed after the initial auto-discovery.

When the error occurs we have to run Auto-discovery again. A new sensor comes up for the same interface with the same ifindex.

could you please advise a fix to the above mentioned issue. creating the sensor again means defining all notifications and channel details all over again. It does not work out when it happens on one of our core switches with multiple interfaces.

Hi,
my apologies for the delayed reply. We are trying to recreate the issue on one of our systems. May you please send us more information like the Probe and Core Logs as well as a screenshot of the sensor and device settings to [email protected]?
Thank you
