Live view vs. 2 days view

We notice a discrepancy between the bandwidth reported on the live view for a sensor and the 2 days view. For example, the Live view for an ethernet sensor may show 10 mbps for certain periods but when we look at the 2 days and 30 days views for the same period the peaks will only show 2 mbps.

We are using: PRTG Network Monitor 9.1.6.1963

Thank You

Hi,
the mentioned graphs only show averaged values. So it is possible that different graphs show different values. If you are in need of the exact data, please use the Historic Data function of PRTG.
Best regards

Thanks for the quick reply. We are often most interested in the peak load for a given period of time and the average (by definition) tends to remove those peaks. I understand the logic and we'll use the Historic feature to get the data we need.
