I'm just curious if there will be a dedicated sensor for SQL Server 2012. Similar to the SQL 2005 and 2008 sensors that are currently available. Or is it just a case of the SQL Server 2008 sensor managing to grab all of the metrics off a SQL Server 2012 installation?

A sensor for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 is now available in the stable version of PRTG. For details, please see PRTG Manual: WMI Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Sensor.

At the moment I am not aware of a SQL Server 2012 sensor being planned. Please let us know, if you have any trouble using the SQL Server 2008 sensor for your 2012 server.
I'll second the request for an SQL 2012 sensor. The 2008 sensor works like a charm on 2008 and 2008R2 in clusters etc, but it fails to detect SQL2012 deployments. Really need this as we're getting ready to deploy a 2012 cluster to back end our SharePoint installation. Thanks!
A SQL 2012 sensor is in the works and should be available in a couple of weeks.
Can I get a stauts update on this request? We're currently deploying SQL 2012 and not having sensors for SQL 2012 is giving us some headaches. Thanks!
Hi,
the SQL 2012 sensor is available in the most recent Preview version of PRTG.
Best regards
Updating now. Thanks Konstantin!
