I would like to ask if the DB monitoring tool can fire alert (through Syslog) if the number of record returned per a SQL query over the defined threshold. Eg. if I would like to monitor a customised database table called tbUser while with 2 fields (Field1 and Field2), is it possible to set up a monitor on Field2 per anyone authorised to query, with returned number of records more than a defined threshold

record sql table

Hi,
depending on type of the database this should be at least possible using the ADO SQL Sensor of PRTG. You might additional have a look at the available sensor types for database servers.
Best regards
