Report for Top 100 CPU Usage

With PRTG's built-in report templates, you can create a report for the top 100 devices with the highest CPU usage. It can be run automatically on a regular basis.

To create such a report, please login to the PRTG web interface and

  • in the main menu, click on Reports
  • Click on Add Report to open the "Add Report" mask
  • In the Template drop-down menu, select a template with the desired interval averages in the Top 100 highest and lowest section (for example, select "Highest and lowest 5 minutes averages")
  • In the Schedule section, select when the report should be run
  • In the Period section, select what time span the report should cover
  • Click on Continue to enter the Select Sensors Manually tab.
  • From the list appearing in the lower part of the window, add all desired sensors to the report by clicking the Add link next to a sensor. You can also first filter the list by using the search field with a tag or keyword of your sensor's names (in your case, "cpu" should do).
  • Once added, the sensors are connected to your report.
  • To test your report, open the Run Now tab and select Run Report

The report will show the top 100 of the highest and lowest averages of the selected sensors.

Modifying the available report templates (for example to only show the top 10 instead of top 100) is possible, but requires manual modifications. Please see How do I modify PRTG's report templates? for more details.
