What could be causing more than 100 sensors to down state at the same time?

Hello, I have installed PRTG on a core server and also a probe remote on a different server. there was something weird that happened with the sensors the other day, causing more than 100 sensors from the remote probe to go into down state and triggered emails to the admin team, most of the alerts would show a "Connection timed out (socket error #10060)" then most of the sensors on all of those devices started sending down alerts. what could be causing that ? they were working fine for over a month, the down alerts lasted for over 5 min then all of them came back up on their own.

Hi,
this is pretty hard to say without further knowledge on the sensors residing on the probe. Please send the logfiles of the remote probe to [email protected].
Best regards

Hi,

My first thought would be a switch or router in your network that has been down for a few minutes or a possible cable disconnect.
