WMI credentials and custom exe

Votes:

Hello,

I am currently designing a custom EXE sensor (in VBS) whose purpose is querying data via WMI on a remote server before computing these and returning a result. To connect to the remote server, I'd like to retrieve WMI credentials from PRTG via placeholders, but %settings, when passed as a parameter for the exe, gives nothing.

Is it normal? Is there another way to get WMI credentials in a custom EXE sensor?

Regards, Michel.

Dear Michel,

the usage of placeholders is not possible in this situation. Please use the 'Parameter'-fields to pass on the Credentials to your script.

Best Regards.
