Reverse sensor - alert when an IP responds to ping

I have a need to monitor an IP address at a DR site. By default this IP is unreachable unless the main site goes down (through the magic of BGP routing).

I'd like to have a "negative" ping sensor that is green when there's no reply, and goes red and sends notifications if the IP ever comes up.

Is this possible ?

Hello,

this should be possible using a self-written Custom Exe sensor.

best regards

Hi,

Please have a look at KB article Can I create an inverse Ping sensor? It provides steps on how to accomplish this.

Regards,
