How to make a dial/gauge in a dashborad?

Votes:

0

Does anyone know if its possible to create a dial (siimlar to the speedometer in a car) in the dashboard?

I.e., similar to the PRTG logo where a needle moves across a fixed scale? I'd like to use these to create management facing dashboards that are easy to understand.

I can't seem to find any examples for the pre packaged icons, or custom examples despite looking.

custom dial gauge

Scott, please have a look if the new webinterface with its gauge-like icons meets your requests: We Are Improving PRTG's User Interface – Again and Again

Something in this direction is in the making right inside PRTG and should be available in Q1/13

PRTG Staff Gurus,

Please do this with the temperature icon as well.

If icons were animated, i.e. actual guages corresponding with data points that would be really great. Otherwise I find the icons sort of pointless as we create Visio diagrams for our networks. I've used www.jfree.org/jfreechart for guages in other projects.

Danke.
