How to enable imported MIBs

Votes:

0

I've imported a MIB collection and saved it in the SNMPLIBS directory with the other "out of the box" PRTG files, restarted my PRTG7 services and probed the device using the Automatic detection (detailed) yet I don't see any device specific sensors. Have I done something wrong?

Thanks

import mib prtg

Did you select the OID library in case when adding sensors?

Ah - that's it. Perhaps you could add some details in the MIB Importer documentation that explains on where you select the MIB library after you've imported it. It would probably save time for others like myself. [Rem.: Information is now updated in knowledge base and on website.]

I dug around and found that when you create a sensor, when you are presented with the Sensor Type selection screen, open SNMP and there you find the SNMP library option where you can select the MIB file you imported.

Thank you!
