Report Generation.

I generate a report of one week and the report is showing me the period covering 24hr. What i intended was only for the period of 8:00am to 5:00pm Nigerian time. pls is there any way i can come up with a report for one week at any selected period?. If i want a report to show me only the uptime and the down time for a given period, does that mean that if i add up the two(UP and Down time), i will get the exact period selected for the report? I am experiencing this situation and I need your response.
