Trigger alarm on ping-time gets above threshold

Votes:

0

Hello,

I am evaluating PRTG. I'm running the current version 12.4.7.3506

I need to measure the ping time of a remote device. Normally, ping-times are stable below 5 Milliseconds. But if it starts to climb above 10 milliseconds, i need an alarm tripped (and an email send to me).

To make it extra clear, i don't mean "if the device is up or down" but "if responsetimes to that device deteriorate/get worse".

Kind regards, Steve

Hi Steve,
you might just set a Threshold Trigger on the tab Notifications of the sensor. This trigger can send a email notification but is not able to set the same to error state.
You might additional think about setting limits as well.
Best regards
