Including Errors in Switch Sensors

I have thousands of switchports in PRTG. I want to add error count to the monitored list of items for every port. If error count is greater than 1 I want it to alarm.

How do I add this for hundreds of ports at the same time.

Also for 50% of the switches I want to monitor the amount of multicast versus the amount of unicast. How do I add these en-masse.

As the default for every switch in the future I want it to monitor multicast and errors.

How do I do that?

Hello,

you can enable the additional channel Errors In/Out quickly on several SNMP Traffic Sensors at once with the Multi Edit. Then I would suggest to also set an Upper Error Limit of 1 for all these sensors on their Channel-Tab (again with the Multi-Edit) on the Error in/out-channel, and then use a simple State-Trigger for the notification.

best regards.
