Auto Discovery not detecting windows hosts

Votes:

0

Not sure if it is the latest stable version or not but I am no longer able to use Auto Discovery to get all devices discovered. It was able to discover network devices like switches however it missed the Windows hosts entirely. I am able to ping and remotely manage these machines from the probe. Also when I manually add the Windows target by IP address it finds it and discovers all its sensors.

Thanks, Andreas

Hello,

Can you please go into PRTGs datafolder, there into the "Logs (System)"-folder and remove the "Auto Discovery Log.log". Then please create the same Auto-Discovery Group again, directly under the probe (not in any sub-group) with the same settings, and run the Auto-Discovery again, and send us the full content of the "Logs (System)"-folder as a zip-file via email to [email protected] or use the FTP-Upload Send Logs To Paessler...-Button on the Logs-Tab of the PRTG Probe Admin-Tool.
Also please send us the IPs (at least one) of the hosts which were not found by the Auto-Discovery.

best regards.
