PRTG on Windows XP Pro x64

The Windows on your probe system is too old. Please update to at least Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista(we strongly recommend Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7)

Should I be seeing this error? What does it mean? Do I need to upgrade the OS of my Probe Device? The system requirements have not said to do this.

The operating systems Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 are not officially supported anymore. If you run PRTG on one of these operating systems, you have to accept limited monitoring functionality. We do not provide support for any issues that might be caused (directly or indirectly) by using these Windows versions.
