Event correlation

Hi guys,

Is there anyway to correlate events to get a notification of the root cause? I am adding sensors to monitor my applications health and they work fine. What I would like to do next is if event A is down but event B is normal then the cause must be device X and send a notification that says X is down.

I was thinking of using a script but I am not sure how to grab the status's of the different sensors. Is there anyway to query the current sensor status? Or has any one else come up with a method to accomplish what I would like to do?

Thank you, Kevin

Hello,

thank you very much for your KB-Post! Unfortunately, there is no logic for such event correlation in PRTG right now. But you can definitely use the PRTG API to query the status of objects.

best regards
