Bulk change all PING sensors as master sensors?

Votes:

0

Our default policy is to set PING sensors as master sensors for their device. I"m not sure if it's a PRTG thing or an intern thing, but it seems that not all of our PING sensors are set as master. Short of auditing each and every one of 158 devices, is there a screen I can look at that tells me which ping sensors are master and which are not? Better yet, is there a way to bulk edit all PING sensors to set the "Master Sensor for Device" option?

bulk dependencies master-object ping prtg

Dear Jim,

I'm sorry to disappoint you on this, but there is no such option/way. Changing the dependency-settings with the multi-edit is not possible, because it can to easily end up in mixed up results and sensors/devices which might not ever wake up again. So it is necessary to check the Ping sensors individually.

Best Regards.
